Martin Luther King Day Parade – Tampa
The City of Tampa’s Martin Luther King Day Parade is an exciting component of a week of activity, celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. King, and displaying the beautiful diversity and community spirit of the Tampa Bay Area. Thousands line the streets of a two-mile route winding through East Tampa beginning at Cuscaden Park and ending at Middleton High School. This parade gets bigger and better every year and attracts bands from as far away as Kingston, Jamaica. The 31st Annual City of Tampa Martin Luther King Day Parade will be held on Monday, January 20, 2020.
The MLK Day parade is family friendly, entertaining, and fun. It’s also an opportunity for the businesses, social and community groups that make this city strong to come out and be recognized while supporting a common cause. Come out early and grab a good spot!
If you are interested in being a parade entrant, the Dr. Martin Luther King Parade Foundation cordially invites you to fill out an application and secure your place in line. The application deadline is December 2, 2019. Floats, bands, cars, trucks, motorcycle, equestrian and walking units are all welcome. Staging begins at Cuscaden Park, 2900 N 15th St in Tampa.
We also invite you to become a sponsor supporting the parade, and the educational and service initiatives of the Parade Foundation.
